Hello and welcome to the the Twin Rivers Community Choir! Created in 2010 and rooted in Castlegar, we are a group of enthusiastic singers from all backgrounds and abilities. Under the talented leadership of director Christina Nolan, the choir has grown by leaps and bounds over the past seasons. We are a non-auditioned choir, and you don’t need to be able to read music to participate. Normally the choir undertakes two major concert series each year, one in December and one in late May or early June, but due to Covid19 precautions we are currently following a virtual choir model instead. More details are available below. We have presently suspended performing at community functions and events in Castlegar and area. Our repertoire ranges widely from classical to pop to Broadway, jazz, world music and more.
Looking to join the choir?
Membership in the choir is only $10 for the 2020-2021 season. Membership applications and fees are currently being accepted.
Once you are a member you may then elect to participate in one or more projects. Each project involves preparing and recording one song, audio and video separately. Four projects are scheduled for the Fall 2020 session and another four in the Spring 2021 session. The fee for each project is $25.
If you're interested then contact Cathy as soon as possible for details and to make your interest known. The first project has just begun.
